Population density has its own influence on the demographic characteristics and soial. The understanding of population density become significant issues for review. By using the entire districts in Peninsular Malaysia, this thesis tries to prove that population density as variables important in understanding the characteristics of the demographic and social, where the spread of the population and the low population density is seen as a problem in theory and pratis among urban planners. Secondary data is data which has been collected through the Census 2010 Department of statistics Malaysia, involving 81 districts to review the relationship between the population density with demographic and social indikator-indikator. Pearson correlation analysis was performed using SPSS to determine the strength of the empirical relationship between the population density with demographic and social indikator-indikator. For every relationship between density and selected indicators performed using hypothesis testing precision of level 99 percent (standard error 1%) to determine the existence of significant relationship or not. Studies show that population density has a significant relationship with social and demographic indicators. Of the 19 indicators tested (p value of < 0.05), the population density is not related to the 2 indicators only. In discussing this relationship results summary being made that population density was variables important to understand and explain the characteristics of the demographic and social in an area. Summary of these findings the town planner will be able to better understand the role of population density and the steps to be taken to solve the problem of imbalance of population density.
