Studies in the West, found the problem of illegal racing was highly unusual for adolescents and young people. Western psychologists have studied the problem of illegal racing, which focuses on illegal car racing because the bike is not very popular in this culture than by car. For example, research conducted by Leigh (1996) and Smart et al., (2010) view is illegal racing activities of young people marked by rebellion against parents and the authorities. They have an aggressive driving behavior, violation of traffic rules, road rage, breaking the norms and social values. However, recent research has shown that not all 'Mat Rempit' involved in illegal racing, some of them just riding their bikes in a dangerous way and irregularly to purely entertainment (Ismail, 2006; Ismail & Borhanuddin, 2010).
