Sementara itu juga, Rozmi & Norhayati, (2007) pula telah memberi tumpuan kepada faktor-faktor mempengaruhi keterlibatan remaja dalam merempit dan hubungannya dengan jenis personaliti, sokongan sosial dan Coping Skill. Kajian yang dilakukan oleh Ismail (2006) dan Ismail & Ibrahim (2007) turut mengkaji sosio-demografi dan ciri-ciri remaja yang terlibat dalam aktiviti merempit. Kajian yang dilakukan oleh Ismail dan Ibrahim (2007) menggunakan sampel 200 orang majoritinya adalah Melayu (berusia antara 17 hingga 28 tahun) menemui berlumba haram adalah sangat penting bagi mereka kerana ia adalah tempat untuk hiburan yang murah, melepaskan kemarahan mereka, mencari fokus, untuk tujuan interaksi dan membina sebuah masyarakat yang berkongsi sasaran yang sama, minat dan cara hidup.
