‘Mat Rempit’ yang meminati motosikal turut membentuk budaya jalanan tertentu yang berasaskan kepada identiti spesifik yang dipamerkan. Penentuan ini memainkan peranan penting dalam menentukan tingkah laku agresif sebagai budaya jalanan di Malaysia yang berleluasa sejak kebelakangan ini. Seperti mana Bosozoku di Jepun, Street racer di Australia dan Hell’s Angel di Amerika, remaja lelaki di Malaysia yang terlibat dalam lumba haram dipanggil dengan istilah ‘Mat Rempit’ (Rozmi & Norhayati, 2007; Zalmizy, 2015). Menurut Rozmi (2005), sub-budaya baru ini telah wujud dalam kalangan ‘Mat Rempit’ yang mengasingkan serta membezakan mereka dari kelompok masyarakat lain melalui tingkah laku (agresif), personaliti, cara hidup, pergaulan, pakaian dan bahasa yang digunakan dalam kumpulan. Beliau menambah, sub-budaya jalanan yang ketara wujud dalam kalangan ‘Mat Rempit’ adalah daripada segi gaya berpakaian. Mereka gemar berpakaian santai bersahaja (simple) tidak seperti kumpulan Bosozoku di Jepun iaitu hanya memakai baju-T, baju berbelang dan berseluar jeans, memakai bag posch, berkasut tinggi dan turut berseluar pendek.
