PHYSICAL PROPERTIES OF THE GREEN BUILDING MOSQUE CYBERJAYATo assess the features of a green building based on GBI, there are six features that focused (Zuo & Zhao, 2014). Six characteristics are of energy efficiency, water efficiency, materials efficiency, indoor air quality, planning and site management and innovation. To facilitate discussion of this paper, the characteristics of green building that obtained its GBI for Cyberjaya Mosque discussed through three things, namely energy efficiency through modern technology, efficiency through passive technology and the efficiency of building materials.a) energy efficiency Through modern technology In BuildingThere is some use of modern technology to increase the efficiency associated with building green Mosque Cyberjaya. The use of modern technology that includes three characteristics, namely the generation of sources of energy than solar panels, System VRF technology and the use of energy efficient LED lighting technology.Solar panels are used to generate renewable energy for the mosque. A total of 740 solar panels serve as the roof of the mosque. In addition to using solar panels, the mosque of Cyberjaya also use modern technology air conditioning systematic VRF to increase efficiency of use (Masjidcyberjaya, 2016). VRF system refers to the ability of automated systems to control the internal temperature compared to building close and open methods (on/off) commonly used in operation. This system allows energy savings of up to 55 per cent in the operation of the air conditioning. This affects the savings to the cost of operation of the mosque. To further enhance the efficiency of the energy consumption of the air conditioning system, the mosque is open for two hours at a certain time such as Friday prayer, prayer Aidilfitri and Aidiladha prayer and the celebration of Ramadan (Masjidcyberjaya, 2016). For efficiency, the mosque lighting LED lights installed in a centralized system and individually-controlled smart. The lamp also features automatic detector system so that the waste of electricity can be avoided and a simple maintenance.
